Aaliyah Plummer serves as the fall 2024 Communications Intern. She is currently a senior at Howard University majoring in communications and minoring in community development. As a new addition to the team, she looks forward to working closely with the entire staff to better understand the power policy has on a woman’s health.
Plummer’s passion for women’s health began in high school where she volunteered at local hospitals and became aware of the gender disparities in health. In college, she served as the community service chair for the Cathy Hughes School of Communications executive student council, where she hosted events targeted at the well-being of students.
Upon graduation, she hopes to continue serving the underrepresented through community-centered education and events. In her free time, she loves to scour Pinterest, cook with friends, and walk with no particular destination in mind.
