About: SWHR convened an international group of preeminent researchers to examine the evidence for and against menopausal hormone therapy, and provide directions for future research. This roundtable was a closed meeting, but SWHR has provided a summary report of the meeting and press release.

The researchers were organized into five important subgroups: cardiovascular disease, Alzheimer’s disease and cognitive aging, osteoporosis, cancer, and quality of life. Each subgroup will come prepared with the following:

  • Best level of evidence
  • Risks relative to endpoints
  • Future research recommendations
