SUMMARY:Heart Health in Women Symposium
DESCRIPTION:The Heart Health in Women 2021 Conference will be a half-day educational conference for health care professionals focused on promoting comprehensive understanding of heart disease in women. Topics will include risk factors\, prevention\, clinical presentation\, treatments and outcomes of cardiovascular disease in women\, highlighting areas where women have unique disease features and outcomes. The target audience will include physicians\, nurse practitioners\, physician assistants\, nurses\, technologists\, and pharmacist. The ultimate goal of the conference is to improve the cardiac care for women in Central Virginia through education and awareness. \nObjectives\n\n\nTo understand goal exercise recommendations for women to prevent or treat cardiovascular disease\nTo understand that hypertension and diabetes during pregnancy can identify women at high risk for coronary artery disease later in life\nTo list the potential cardiac causes of syncope and how to best diagnose them\n\nLearn more & Register
