DESCRIPTION:The Challenges We Face: Obesity affects roughly one-third of the total population in Latin America\, with a total of nearly 81 million people affected in Mexico and Brazil alone\, leading to an ever-increasing risk of cardiovascular disease\, kidney disease\, diabetes\, and other related comorbidities. \nThus\, it is incumbent upon healthcare providers across Latin America to recognize obesity as a chronic\, progressive disease and provide compassionate and comprehensive care to these patients to improve their health outcomes. \nProgram Description: This CME activity will enable primary care providers and relevant specialists with the knowledge and skills to address obesity as a chronic\, relapsing disease. Participants will learn about the distinct pathophysiology of obesity that contributes to cardiovascular\, renal\, and metabolic risk factors\, disease\, and complications. Expert faculty will teach participants how to accurately diagnose and document obesity and foster patient engagement through respectful\, nonstigmatizing communication. DESCRIPTION:Prenatal professionals and trainees from around the world are invited to join hosts virtually or in person for the 29th International Conference on Prenatal Diagnosis and Therapy\, Thursday-Sunday\, 30 October – 2 November 2025 in Cape Town\, South Africa! \nPreconference courses will held on 30 October 2025. The conference will be held Friday-Sunday\, 31 October – 2 November 2025 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre in heart of the “Mother City.” Plenary sessions will feature invited speakers\, hot topics\, and debates on emerging approaches to prenatal diagnosis and therapies. Oral and poster presentations will be selected from peer-reviewed abstracts.
