DESCRIPTION:The Georgetown Institute for Women\, Peace and Security will host a virtual discussion about how to ensure an equitable recovery from COVID-19. COVID-19 continues to take a dire toll on women and girls around the world. Since the outbreak of the pandemic\, nearly 250 million women and girls have been subjected to intimate partner violence\, women’s labor force participation has dropped by over 2 million\, and an estimated 20 million girls might not return to school.
