SUMMARY:Women's Reproductive Health Forum
DESCRIPTION:Maternal near deaths —from hemorrhages\, strokes\, aneurysms\, clots\, sepsis infections\, cardiac arrest\, organ failure and other life-threatening complications of pregnancy and childbirth— have been on the rise\, and now exceed 65\,000 a year (ProPublica). 1 in 8 couples have trouble getting pregnant and more than 99% of women aged 15–44 who have ever had sexual intercourse have used at least one contraceptive method (Fertility Answers and Guttmacher). The Women’s Health Innovation Coalition is bringing the women’s reproductive health community together to recognize these issues and discuss current challenges as well as breakthroughs in reproductive health.
