SUMMARY:PCORI’s Biannual Maternal Health Webinar
DESCRIPTION:PCORI has devoted considerable resources to tackling the challenges associated with maternal morbidity and mortality and will be holding biannual webinars to share the critical research with Congressional staff and others. \nAs part of this biannual series\, the February 9th webinar will provide a short overview of PCORI’s approach to maternal health research and insight from two PCORI-funded co-investigators. The researchers will discuss their ongoing projects that seek to improve outcomes for pregnant women dealing with gestational diabetes and high blood pressure. \nIf you would like information on previous webinars\, please reach out to Liz Westbrook at ewestbrook@pcori.org. \nLearn More

SUMMARY:Metabolism in Transition: Obesity Care for Women Through Menopause
DESCRIPTION:Presented by the Obesity Medicine Association in partnership with the Gerontological Society of America \nMenopause is associated with significant metabolic changes that can complicate weight management and overall health in midlife women. This session offers a practical overview of how hormonal shifts influence fat distribution\, muscle mass\, and insulin sensitivity\, and explores the implications for cardiometabolic risk. Participants will review the role of menopausal hormone therapy (MHT) and examine evidence-based obesity treatment strategies\, including lifestyle interventions and modern anti-obesity medications\, tailored to women navigating the menopausal transition. \nLearn More

SUMMARY:RISE UP for Breast Cancer
DESCRIPTION:RISE UP for Breast Cancer is a second annual interdisciplinary meeting that will bring together individuals from breast cancer related fields from across the U.S. and the world to envision new strategies and therapeutics to dramatically reduce breast cancer mortality. Hosts aim to leverage what we know about breast cancer biology\, detection\, and treatment and hormonal management strategies to develop novel ways to approach breast cancer prevention. RISE UP is creating a forum for scientists\, clinicians\, biotechnology/drug developers\, entrepreneurs\, and advocates to come together in conversation to turn conventional thinking about breast cancer on its head. It will be held in-person from February 19-21\, 2026\, in San Francisco. Please join RISE UP for this innovative\, exciting meeting. Register today as spots are limited! \nThe conference will include general sessions (including debates\, keynote speakers\, abstract presenters\, and panel discussions) as well as poster sessions to foster cross disciplinary learning\, highlight new research\, and spark ideas and action. General sessions are designed to educate attendees about opportunities to improve the health and well-being of women from prevention to treatment of breast cancer. \nLearn More
