Tammy Boyd has extensive experience in creating and executing federal legislative policy strategy and facilitating outreach to members of the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate. Before joining BWHI, Ms. Boyd served as managing partner for TKB Global Strategies LLC/Watts Partners, where she executed government affairs strategies through engagement with the House, Senate, and federal agencies such as the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS), and Department of Veteran Affairs (VA).

In addition to her past corporate roles with DaVita Inc. and Johnson & Johnson, Ms. Boyd served as legislative director for Congressman John Lewis (D-GA), where she oversaw legislative activities including tax, trade, health care, financial services, judiciary, and energy. She drafted the legislation elevating the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Office of Minority Health and Health Disparities to an institute and was one of the chief strategists for the legislation that created Smithsonian National African American History & Culture Museum. She received her MPH from Emory University School of Public Health and her JD from American University.
