Mission Statement
To focus attention on approaches to minimize the chronic health consequences of domestic violence in women.
About
SWHR has partnered with the Verizon Foundation to examine the chronic health consequences of domestic violence and explore how technology can be used to address this issue. Read the news release.
This SWHR Network brings together a group of health care providers, domestic violence awareness advocates, and academic, government and health care technology leaders. The Network members will design and help implement technology-based pilot programs to develop interventions and educate patients and providers on the risk factors between domestic violence and chronic health conditions. Ultimately, the goal is to develop solutions that will reduce the chronic health implications of domestic violence.
