The community engagement series will highlight activities, including webinars and videos, fostering breastfeeding equity between state agencies and community organizations. This series will underline the importance of community engagement, pathways, or courses of action to engage communities. It will challenge participants to understand and recognize their role in fostering breastfeeding equity. Topics will include levels of community engagement, strategies, and systems to enhance community support, efforts to improve the lactation workforce, and sustainability of community breastfeeding centers. Session One and Session Two have passed.

In Session Three: Enhancing and Diversifying the Lactation Workforce; April 7, 2022 at 2-3 PM Eastern, attendees will be able to describe the challenges faced in diversifying the breastfeeding workforce. Also, participants will observe initiatives that are working to enhance the lactation workforce.
