The Society for Women’s Health Research (SWHR) is a national nonprofit that promotes women’s health through science, advocacy, and education. Founded in 1990, we lead the industry in researching biological sex differences to improve health outcomes across women’s lifespans. Learn more about us here: swhr.org/about.
No. We do not currently conduct clinical or lab studies. Instead, we advocate for female and minority inclusion in clinical trials and push for federal policies that require Sex as a Biological Variable (SABV) in research.
No. We do not currently fund any research or community health initiatives.

Yes. We invite researchers to submit findings regarding conditions that exclusively, differently, or disproportionately affect women to help us close gender gaps in care. We will review and may use these findings to advance our work.
