Guides & Toolkits
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevent estimates that there were more than 26 million flu illness cases, 290,000 flu hospitalizations, and 17,000 flu deaths in the 2022-2023 flu season. The flu vaccine is a highly effective way to prevent the virus and its resulting illness.
The exact timing and duration of flu season each year varies but often begins in October and continues through the winter months.
This October, at the start of flu season, SWHR invites you to share out on social media information about the flu vaccine and its power to protect us all, including high-risk groups like pregnant individuals, from serious illness. Check out the Flu Vaccine & Pregnancy Social Media Toolkit today!
