The Society for Women’s Health Research’s vision it to make women’s health mainstream. The initiatives described in SWHR’s 2022 Annual Report demonstrate the Society’s commitment to this vision.
Through 2022, SWHR continued to encourage the appropriate inclusion of women, underrepresented populations, and subpopulations of women in medical research; promote research on biological sex differences in disease and ensure the implementation of SABV policies in research studies; advocate for greater public and private funding for women’s health research; promote a diverse research workforce; and educate women, health care providers, and policymakers about the issues affecting women’s health across the lifespan.
