SWHR Asks Congress to Prioritize Osteoporosis in FY22 Appropriations Bill

SWHR signed on to letters to Labor HHS Subcommittee leadership in the House and Senate with requests for the fiscal year 2022 Labor HHS appropriations bill that would lead to meaningful progress toward helping those with osteoporosis. The requests would both lower fracture risks and reduce taxpayer and family health care costs for the 54 million Americans with osteoporosis or low bone mass and the two million Medicare beneficiaries who suffer an osteoporotic bone fracture each year.
