SWHR Sends Letter to House Ways & Means Committee Supporting Markup of TROA
The Society for Women’s Health Research (SWHR) sent a letter to the Chair and Ranking Member of the House Ways & Means Committee expressing support for marking up the Treat and Reduce Obesity Act (TROA). SWHR’s letter encouraged the Committee to include the full range of obesity treatments, including anti-obesity medications under Medicare Part D, nutrition counseling, behavioral therapy, and community-based programs to ensure that Medicare beneficiaries have equitable access to treatments.
