SWHR Urges Congress to Complete Work on FY21 Appropriations

SWHR signed onto a letter led by the American Society for Microbiology (ASM) and the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) urging swift action to complete work on fiscal year (FY) 2021 appropriations bills. The letter, signed by more than 170 organizations and institutions across all disciplines and areas of science and research, stressed the severe consequences for science and research should there be additional delays in securing FY 2021 funding. In addition to finalizing FY 2021 appropriations, the groups urged enactment of emergency research relief funding to mitigate the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
