SWHR Urges Congress to Prioritize Investments in Research Infrastructure

SWHR signed on to a letter urging Congressional leadership to include investments in the infrastructure underpinning the medical research enterprise as a key national priority. The letter, signed by 229 members of the Ad Hoc Group for Medical Research, expresses support for the one-time emergency funding for federal research agencies, including $10 billion for the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Investments in research infrastructure will contribute towards greater resiliency during pandemics and better prepare the research community to respond to future outbreaks and other existing and emerging threats.
