Journey to Wellness with Endometriosis

Webinars & Videos

Published 2/27/24

Endometriosis is a chronic gynecological disease in which tissue that resembles the lining of the uterus (the endometrium) grows outside the uterus where it does not belong. These lesions can result in pelvic pain and other symptoms that, for many women, can lead to significant physical, emotional, and financial burdens associated with their endometriosis.

In this video, the Society for Women’s Health Research (SWHR) aims to speak to women who are looking to learn about the endometriosis patient experience and how to better navigate their care.

Hear from three endometriosis advocates in the video, Journey to Wellness with Endometriosis.

This video features insights from:

  • Soyini Hawkins, MD, MPH, FACOG, Endometriosis Patient and Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgeon, Fibroid and Pelvic Wellness Center of Georgia
  • Lauren Kornegay, Endometriosis Patient and Executive Director, Endo Black Incorporated
  • Lindsey Peters, Endometriosis Patient and Advocate
