2025 Annual Awards Gala Gallery

The Society for Women’s Health Research (SWHR) honored leaders for their contributions to advancing women’s health at its 35th Annual Awards Gala on Wednesday, April 30, 2025.

SWHR presented a Women’s Health Visionary Award to Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV) for her work in healthy aging including menopause legislation. Senator Capito was unable to attend the evening but the SWHR team presented her ahead at her office on April 28.

SWHR presented a Women’s Health Visionary Award to Representative Lauren Underwood (D-IL) for her significant contributions in maternal health, including her work on the Black Maternal Health Caucus and her efforts on the Black Maternal Health Momnibus.

SWHR presented a Women’s Health Visionary Award to Kim Love for her commitment to improving women’s health in her role as an industry leader at Amgen, including the significant impact she has had on women’s health research by driving forward innovative initiatives, promoting research, and advocating for policies that address the unique health needs and challenges faced by women.

SWHR presented a Women’s Health Visionary Award to Dr. Teresa Woodruff for her contributions to women’s health research in endocrinology, ovarian biology, and reproductive science.

Attendees at the SWHR 2025 Gala also heard from keynote speaker Anita Ravi, MD, MPH, MSHP, FAAFP with PurpLE Health Foundation; presenters Celina Gorre, Millicent Gorham, and Dr. Victor J. Dzau; and SWHR Board Members Gretta Stone and Erika Miller.
