Syreen Goulmamine, MPH, CHES®, is a seasoned scientist and public health expert dedicated to bridging research, policy, and practice to advance women’s health outcomes. With a diverse background spanning epidemiology, laboratory management, clinical trials, and public health practice, she excels at translating complex scientific data into actionable insights that drive health policy and research.
As a Programs Manager at the Society for Women’s Health Research (SWHR), Goulmamine leads multidisciplinary projects to address critical research gaps in women’s health. Leveraging her expertise in epidemiology and immunology, she conducts research, develops evidence-based resources, and evaluates program outcomes to advance scientific and policy-driven solutions.
Prior to her role at SWHR, Goulmamine worked as a bench scientist and clinical trials report writer in the biopharmaceutical industry, where she also consulted for Fortune 500 companies and biotech startups. She later transitioned into public service, applying her expertise in roles like community health educator and epidemiologist at the district and state levels. She is also a proud Public Health AmeriCorps alumni.
Goulmamine is an active leader in local, state, and national health initiatives, serving on the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Clinical Trials Transformation Initiative (CTTI)’s Patient Engagement Collaborative, Virginia Diabetes Council Board of Directors, AcademyHealth’s Health Equity Interest Group Advisory Committee, George Mason University’s College of Public Health Alumni Board, Randolph-Macon College’s Young Alumni Board and Physician Assistant Program Advisory Committee, and sits on the Rare Disease Diversity Coalition’s Patient, Provider, Caregiver Journey Working Group and Association of Maternal & Child Health Programs’ Global Maternal Health Workgroup.
She holds a Master of Public Health from George Mason University and a Bachelor of Science from Randolph-Macon College. Recognized for her academic excellence, she is a member of the Beta Beta Beta Biological Honor Society and the Delta Omega National Honor Society.
