While the number of women in healthcare is on the rise, women’s pay, working conditions, and representation in leadership roles continue to lag. Now, data rolling in increasingly reveals that the backsliding in gender equity caused by the COVID-19 has been magnified in healthcare settings and among healthcare providers.
This is why American Medical Women’s Association is organizing their 1st Gender Equity EmpowHER Virtual Summit, taking place May 14-15, noon – 4:15 pm daily.
Internationally acclaimed NYT best-selling author Sara Laschever will kick off the Summit with a talk on successful negotiation strategies. The gathering of stakeholders and experts will cover subjects ranging from implicit and explicit bias in work cultures to leading diverse, inclusive, and equitable teams, and standing up to injustice. The program will also feature summaries of women’s leadership programs you may benefit from and gender equity initiatives you could join to help amplify your impact.
Summit Topics Include:
As leaders in the healthcare ecosystem, women physicians are poised to drive change.
