Marce of North America (MONA) will present its biannual conference this year in a hybrid format. The conference will be entitled, Marce of North America 2023 Conference: Emerging from the Pandemic: Equity and Innovation in Perinatal Mental Health. The live portion of the conference will take place at the Westin Alexandria in Alexandria Virginia on Thursday, October 26th– Saturday, October 28th. On Wednesday, October 25th we will host a Pre-Conference Workshop with 10 workshops allowing for targeted learning.
The prevalence of perinatal mental illness onset and exacerbation for parents is a major public health problem. This activity will specifically address inconsistencies in research, advocacy, education, and clinical practice for screening, diagnosis, and management of mood, anxiety, and other mental disorders in patients and families during pregnancy, postpartum, and lactation.The goal is to ensure that health care providers acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for optimal delivery of care as well as advancement of research, medical education, and policy development for parental mental health during the perinatal period.
This CME program is designed to meet the educational needs of healthcare providers who manage patients with perinatal mental health conditions.
