Multicultural Maternal Mental Health Conference

October 17 - October 19

The COVID-19 pandemic has disproportionately affected BIPOC women, with higher rates of infection, hospitalization, and death, which can contribute to mental health problems during and after pregnancy.

In addition to mental health professionals, policymakers, medical providers, doulas, the valuable voices of consumers, community organizers, advocates and religious leaders are necessary in order to encourage collaboration and innovation towards the development of new methods of support for new mothers. Latinx, Asian, African-American, LGBTQIA, Native, Hmong and various other speakers have been invited to share their perspectives on the importance of culturally responsive care and services. You are invited to submit a proposal to present.

This special event will offer interactive, community-centered opportunities to engage in the field of maternal mental health, diversity and culture. You are encouraged to share your expertise and help to advance knowledge and practice in this essential area of care.
