SWHR Submits Response to OMB Proposed Rule on Regulation for Federal Financial Assistance
The Society for Women’s Health Research (SWHR) submitted comments to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) on its proposed rule, Regulation for Federal Financial Assistance. In its comment letter, SWHR urges OMB to withdraw the proposed rule, expressing concern that it would codify political influence in scientific peer review, expand agency discretion to terminate federal grants, and provides unclear guidance around diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) practices, among other concerning implications of the rule.
