SWHR Earns Coveted 4-Star Rating From Charity Navigator

The Society for Women’s Health Research (SWHR®) has earned a 4-star rating from premier independent charity evaluator organization Charity Navigator, which rates more than 8,000 nonprofits nationally on their accountability, transparency, and fiscal responsibility.

“Receiving four out of a possible four stars indicates that SWHR adheres to good governance and other best practices that minimize the chance of unethical activities and consistently executes its mission in a fiscally responsible way,” said Charity Navigator’s founder and chairman John Dugan. “This ‘exceptional’ designation from Charity Navigator differentiates SWHR from its peers and demonstrates to the public it is worthy of their trust.”

According to Charity Navigator, only one out of four charities earn 4 stars, indicating SWHR outperforms most other non profit organizations in the U.S. Receiving a 4-star rating demonstrates that SWHR consistently adheres to good governance and other best practices that promote and ensure ethical and transparent business dealings.

“It is a testament to the fiscally responsible way we conduct our work promoting research on sex differences and advocating for women’s health in scientific research and policy that Charity Navigator has recognized SWHR as a 4-star charity, the highest rating available for non profits,” said Phyllis Greenberger, MSW, president and CEO of SWHR. “We are proud of this top distinction and will continue to demonstrate that we respect our donors’ support by dedicating their dollars in the most impactful and transparent manner.”
