Syreen Goulmamine is a seasoned scientist and public health expert. In her role as SWHR’s Science Programs Manager, Syreen directs multiple projects and teams effectively, delivering clear, evidence-based outputs and outcomes. Before joining SWHR, Syreen worked as a scientist and clinical trial report writer in the pharmaceutical industry, where she eventually began consulting for Fortune 500 companies and biotech startups. Her proficiency in simplifying complex scientific information, and her role as a subject matter expert is reflected through her presentations at notable conferences such as those organized by the American Association for Immunologists, Association of Maternal and Child Health Programs (AMCHP), and the National Institutes of Health. She is a dedicated volunteer and advocate for equity and inclusion, serving on various leadership and board positions including the Virginia Diabetes Council Board, the AMCHP Global Health Working Group, AcademyHealth’s Health Equity Interest Group Advisory Committee, George Mason University’s College of Public Health Alumni Board, and Randolph-Macon College’s Advisory Board for Physician Assistant Program and Young Alumni Board, and a Public Health AmeriCorps volunteer. Syreen’s academic credentials include an MPH in epidemiology from George Mason University, and a BS in Biology, Behavioral Neuroscience, and Spanish from Randolph-Macon College.
