Closing the women’s health gap: The $1 trillion opportunity

  • This event has passed.

March 7 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am EST

As you may have seen in The GuardianFortune, and Forbes, the McKinsey Health Institute’s latest report in collaboration with the World Economic Forum, Closing the women’s health gap: A $1 trillion opportunity to improve lives and economies, has sized the health and economic returns of investing in women’s health. Even though women live longer on average, they also spend 25% more time in poor health than men, and most of this health burden happens during their working years. McKinsey found a $1 trillion economic opportunity that, if harnessed, could unlock up to 75 million years of higher quality life for women (or 7 days annually per woman on average) from closing this health gap.

Leading up to International Women’s Day, the hosts look forward to a rich discussion that will touch on:

  • Findings from our recent report highlighting the root causes of the women’s health gap, and how to address it
  • Myths, challenges, and opportunities in women’s health
  • Actions stakeholders can take to accelerate progress and innovation to help close the gap
