Recognizing ADHD in Women and Older Adults: Differentiating and Diagnosing Mature Symptoms

July 28, 2026 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm EDT

The rigorous evaluation protocols used to diagnose ADHD — and differentiate it from other conditions — are often misunderstood and/or mischaracterized. This leads to contentious public (and sometimes professional) discourse about adult ADHD. Complicating matters, adult ADHD can present differently from person to person, which can cause clinicians to overlook the condition and delay treatment.

This webinar will outline professional recommendations for conducting competent adult ADHD evaluations, addressing issues unique to the assessment of ADHD in women and older adults. It will also provide guidance for differentiating ADHD from common co-occurring conditions such as mood disorders, anxiety, and other issues to increase the likelihood of diagnostic accuracy.
